Richard Trojan joins HallStar as Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate Services

Chicago - June 7, 2012
Richard Trojan has joined The HallStar Company’s senior management team as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Services. In this position, Trojan will be responsible for Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Safety. He replaces Keith Carlson, Vice President, who will retire from the specialty chemical company this year after more than 12 years of service.

“Rich has an innovative background in both human resources and operations management that makes him a valuable asset to TeamHall, said John Paro, HallStar Chairman, President, & CEO. “His broad range of experience — from labor and employee relations to global acquisitions integration — will keep us moving forward and help us accelerate our success.”

Before joining HallStar, Trojan served as Vice President of Human Resources for Videojet Technologies, a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. Videojet is a world-leading manufacturer of industrial ink jet systems, fluids, and accessories for the product-identification industry. During that time, he led the integration of several international acquisitions and drove talent-development processes.

Prior to Videojet, he held several key positions at the Sanford division of Newell Rubbermaid, most recently as Director of Organizational Development & Learning, focusing on talent management. He started his HR career at Caterpillar, Inc., moving from an internship to Operations Supervisor in four years.

“Rich has a proven track record in progressively more responsible roles with major manufacturing companies,” said Keith Carlson. “With him as my successor, I foresee a smooth transition and great progress for the company.”

Trojan has an MS in Management from Purdue University, where he also completed his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, with a minor in Manufacturing Management.
