Cargill Beauty was present for the first time at In Cosmetics South America, in Sao Paulo.

With a heritage of more than 150 years in providing nature-derived solutions in Food & Nutrition, Cargill has a unique and fully-integrated position regarding resources access to support Personal Care brands globally. Building on this opportunity Cargill launched last May Cargill Beauty, its Personal Care platform that will address ingredients challenges of cosmetic market by Unleashing Nature Sustainably.

Cargill Beauty target is to present its new strategy to all customers in the region, reinforcing current relationships and initiating new ones.

It starts with the interactive role between consumers and the planet that is in constant evolution. Consumers want to make the world a better place by protecting biodiversity and communities. Educated and connected, they are shifting their lifestyle and purchase preferences expecting for a true engagement from their preferred brands. Millenials and premium buyers are looking for transparency and authenticity on one hand, and on the other hand expect new meaningful experiences with each product. As the focus on health and sustainability grow, consumers are increasingly on the lookout for products that are safer and friendly to them and to the environment.

Filling these new consumers’ expectations is a challenge for the Personal Care Industry. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals reveals brands willingness and engagement towards this new focus. But finding solutions to answer those goals is challenging. Performance, naturality, affordability, traceability, secured sourcing and compelling stories around functional ingredients: many aspects which are difficult to achieve.

At the show, Cargill Beauty highlighted our unique nature-derived offer on texturizers offering alternative solutions to synthetic polymers. ActigumTM VSX 20 a sustainable, safe, simple, versatile and affordable solution as BB Creams texturizer. And our optimized combination of sustainable carrageenans: SatiagelTM VPC 512 a texturizer being also a film former that delivers clear styling gel with light to medium hold & curl retention.

To better serve its Latin America’s customers and initiate new collaborations with all brand manufacturer, Cargill Beauty open a new application center in Brazil. The lab will be part of the Cargill Innovation Center facility in Campinas.

And we are pleased to announce the recent arrival of Geisa Campos to lead this initiative and to support Cintia Baradel our regional account manager for Cargill Beauty.

 

Geisa has more than 15 years of technical and sales experience in B2B Personal Care business in companies like Croda and Ingredion.  She has a broad knowledge in Personal Care products and formulations. Geisa has successfully collaborated with major customers like Natura, Botticario, J&J and others.

Geisa will have the responsibility to settle our new dedicated personal care application lab and her primary goal will be to support all regional customers demonstrating the value of Cargill beauty ingredients to design nature-derived formulations.
