Dow to Launch Ground-Breaking Home Care Innovations for an ‘Easy Next Clean’ at 2018 ACI Convention

MIDLAND, Mich. USA –
January 24, 2018
Dow Home and Personal Care, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, launches one of its first ‘Easy Next Clean’ breakthrough solutions to make cleaning a breeze for consumers. At the 2018 American Cleaning Institute Annual Meeting & Convention (2018 ACI Convention) in Orlando, Florida from January 29 to February 3, Dow will showcase its new DOWSIL™ EasyRinse foam control agent for fabric care and ACUSOL™ PRO Polymer for hard surface cleaning as part of its Easy Next Clean program.

Making Subsequent Cleaning Easier for Consumers
Easy Next Clean is a collection of breakthrough solutions that, when added to home care formulations, create a thin film to keep surfaces cleaner for longer and makes them easier to clean next time. Testing shows that the new ACUSOL PRO Polymer, the first of many cutting-edge products that will be added to the Easy Next Clean program, exhibits superior cleaning capabilities and formula stability and clarity.

Ingredients from our Easy Next Clean program will help our customers differentiate their products on store shelves and revolutionize the way consumers clean their homes,” said Eric Peeters, global business director, Home & Personal Care.

Formulations with Superior Performance in Fabric and Hard Surface Care
DOWSIL EasyRinse, an R&D 100 Award Finalist, is a silicone-based foam control agent with a surfactant level activation trigger that reduces water use in clothes washing. The trigger preserves the level of foam in the washing stage but activates on first rinse to dissipate foam at a much earlier stage in the rinse cycle.

ACUSOL PRO enables formulators to develop hard surface cleaners with market-leading grease removal and an easy next time cleaning benefit. With easy handling and formula introduction, this polymer can effortlessly be incorporated into the formula and is particularly suitable for all-purpose, kitchen and floor cleaners.

Dow’s market-leading expertise and ever-expanding solutions portfolio continue to push the envelope in the home care market and drive unprecedented innovation for our customers,” said Peeters.

Join Bob Butterick, lead R&D manager, on Friday, February 2 as he presents DOWSIL EasyRinse during the Innovation & New Technology Showcase from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. To learn more about Dow’s other featured innovations, visit Dow at Cordova Conference Rooms 1 and 2 at the 2018 ACI Convention in Orlando, Florida from January 29 to February 3, 2018.
