Gattefossé announce the certification of its organic ingredients according to COSMOS standard
Today, Gattefossé is proud to announce that the ORIGINAL EXTRACTS are the first cosmetic ingredients Certified 100% Organic according to COSMOS standard.
Gattefossé obtained the 100% Organic COSMOS certification for 3 Original Extracts:
• Original Extract Grape Bio
• Original Extract Lemon Bio
• Original Extract Orange Bio
Original Extracts is a line consisting of true water extracted from plants, rich and pure as in the vegetable itself.
Easy-to-use, these vegetable waters can replace the distillate water in formulation without any formulation challenge.
One of the important modifications in COSMOS standard compared to previous standard is that water (tap, distilled or mineral) has been removed from the organic calculation.
Adding 5 to 20% (or even more) of Original Extracts, will help formulators to easily reach the COSMOS organic standard requirements:
Formulator’s advantages for formulation or reformulation
• Increase the global organic %
• Increase the % of organic agro-ingredients physically processed
• For existing formulas:
° No complex reformulation
