Sabinsa’s founder and chairman, Dr. Muhammed Majeed, announced today the promotion of Dr. Umar Jan to President of European Operations.  

Dr. Jan, who most recently held the role of Resident Director, Sabinsa Europe GmbH, joined the company as EU Technical Sales Manager in 2013.

Dr. Jan received Executive MBA degree from Mannheim Business School, and Doctorate in Biochemistry from Goethe University. Before joining Sabinsa, he worked at distinguished international research institutes including the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg. Dr. Jan has published several papers in high-impact peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, EMBO, and JBC. 

“Dr. Jan’s scientific knowledge along with his business experience makes him the ideal member of our team to manage our continued growth throughout the European Union,” said Dr. Majeed.
