IMCD announces that Irene Cantos has been appointed Business Group Director Personal Care, effective January 6, 2021.

In her role, Irene, will lead the Business Group Personal Care in becoming the global player of choice for both suppliers and customers in the distribution of speciality ingredients. The group aims to grow both organically and through acquisitions and will strive to provide differentiating and premium customer experience through unbeatable local service, advanced Marketing, Digital & Technical capabilities and excellent understanding of the industry trends and needs.

Irene will be based at the IMCD offices in Barcelona, Spain, and will be reporting to IMCD’s CEO, Piet van der Slikke.

Irene is Spanish and brings about 16 years of international business, strategy and management experience in the distribution of speciality ingredients in regulated markets. She started her career working in the Medical Device industry, later on moving to IMCD, where she has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions in the Pharmaceutical business. Her last position was Director of Marketing and Digital Transformation, Pharmaceuticals.

Irene holds a degree in Pharmacy and in Food Science and Technology from the Central University of Barcelona.
