At in-cosmetics Global this year your active ingredient won first prize. What is meant with your title ‘infinite well-ageing – powered by senolytic science’?

For the first time in the industry, we provide a very solid substantiation on senolytics, in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo. ETERWELL™ YOUTH, THE holistic solution for healthy ageing skin, acting on the cellular level, efficient on any skin types, ethnicities and for any age, gender. It acts at the root cause of ageing: clearing senescent (zombie) cells. This patented active, 100% of natural origin according to ISO16128 standard, produced from a rare plant, alpine willowherb, helps rejuvenate the healthy skin appearance, revert the skin damage induced by senescent cells. Therefore, it reduces the appearance of wrinkles and helps increase the skin elasticity and smoothness with a better skin structure. The ETERWELL™ YOUTH Extract is COSMOS certified, Fair for Life fair trade certified, Natrue, Halal, China listed and vegan compliant.

Do you have any other applications besides skin care for this ingredient?

Yes, a Hair senolytic assay was performed on H₂O₂-induced senescent human hair follicle dermal papilla cells. ETERWELL™ YOUTH was highly potent in this in vitro model mimicking aged hair. ETERWELL™ YOUTH has a significant and dose-dependent senolytic activity on HFDPCs. 80% less zombie cells could be detected with 0.002%*** of the dry extract. The expected benefits for hair care application are that it could potentially improve hair density and prevent the appearance of greying hair.
