Chair, NYSCC

This year’s Suppliers’ Day will be held June 3–4. Can you share what were some of the reasons to move the date to June?

The decision to move Suppliers’ Day to June was strategic and multifaceted. First, it allowed us to move upstairs to the third level of the Javits Center – known as the Crystal Palace, the convention center’s main floor. This move gives Suppliers’ Day a larger footprint and a more visually impressive presence.

Additionally, the new timing offers more lead time for product launches, research unveilings, and collaboration opportunities. It also aligns better with the business cycle, enabling R&D, marketing, and procurement teams to integrate new innovations into their mid-year planning. Overall, the shift enhances accessibility, relevance, and the overall impact of the show.

This year’s theme is ‘The Nexus of Science and Beauty.’ What will the keynote address this year?

This year’s theme sets the tone for exploring how science is not only enabling, but accelerating, meaningful beauty innovation.

We’re thrilled to welcome Stacey House, Senior Vice President of AGILE Beauty at Coty, for a keynote fireside chat moderated by Kathryn Hopkins, Senior Beauty Editor at WWD. This Main Stage presentation on Wednesday, June 4 at 9:00 AM will focus on how agility is vital in a constantly evolving beauty industry. Coty is redefining standards and breaking boundaries—Agile Beauty sits at the forefront, championing the company’s commitment to rapid innovation and a nimble, consumer-centric approach.

What will the educational program offer to attendees this year?

This year’s program features over 100 hours of content, curated by the NYSCC Scientific Committee in collaboration with leading experts and industry partners. From AI-driven personalization to sustainability strategies, the content directly addresses today’s evolving beauty landscape.

Before the show, SCC CEP Courses will offer hands-on formulation experience. During the show, attendees can engage in Hot Topics on the Main Stage and Formulation Forum, including universal shade development, pet care, and consumer-driven trends.

Are there other highlights that attendees can look forward to?

Absolutely. Making its debut this year is the Formulators’ Tour: The Wellbeing of Water—a guided journey into waterless innovations, aquatic-sourced ingredients, and formulations that conserve, mimic, or enhance water.

Returning is the INDIE 360° Pavilion, in partnership with IBA and CEW, showcasing 20 emerging brands pushing boundaries in sustainability, compliance, ingredients, and branding. The INDIE 360° conference track offers a full-spectrum look at brand development, and attendees will help select the INDIE 360° People’s Choice Award for the most transformative brand.

Students and young professionals can take advantage of the Future Chemists Workshop, career-building panels, and mentorship mixers—all fostering the next generation of cosmetic scientists.

With over 600 exhibitors across 200,000+ square feet, this is the largest Suppliers’ Day show floor yet. Specialty areas include the Inspiration Hive, curated by BEAUTYSTREAMS, offering a peek at game-changing innovations. Plus, the Technical Poster Showcase and Re-Charging Stations balance discovery with much-needed moments of rest.

The NYSCC Industry Awards Night, is beauty’s biggest night out and will take place at the Classic Car Club in NYC on June 3rd. The finalists of the CEW Supplier’s Beauty Award for Ingredients & Formulation will be revealed. Additionally, Sci-comm influencers will be scouring the expansive exhibit floor to find their selections for the INGREDIENT MAVERICK AWARDS.

Suppliers’ Day is built by the industry, for the industry—and powered by the science and creativity that continue to move beauty forward.
