Social responsibility and environmental protection are top priorities for the Follmann Group. Therefore, compliance with high standards and continuous improvement are a matter of course for the globally operating family business from Minden. This is ensured, for example, through the company’s ISO- certified quality, environmental protection and energy management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001). In addition, the Group has now been certified by EcoVadis for the third time. In the overall rating, Follmann has achieved Gold status and thus ranks among the top 10% of the companies in the industry assessed by EcoVadis. This enabled the Group to once again significantly improve on its first two certifications from 2015 and 2017. Aspects analysed and evaluated using 21 different criteria were the environment, social affairs, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Since we understand sustainability as an obligation to current and future generations and have firmly integrated the concept of sustainability into our corporate strategy, we are delighted with the EcoVadis certification”, said Dr Henrik Follmann, owner of the Follmann Group.“It confirms that we are living up to our responsibility towards customers, consumers, employees and theenvironment.” Julia Szincsak, Follmann Group Head of the Environment and Safety Department, adds: “Of course we are working on continuously improving our standards, because in addition to excellent product quality and comprehensive customer service, the use of environmentally friendly raw materials and a resource-saving production environment are becoming increasingly important for our customers. We are all the more pleased that we were able to add to our certifications.”

As an international group of companies, transparency and sustainability in the global supply chain are very important to Follmann. The EcoVadis assessment methodology and the sustainability code help to manage and review sustainability along the global supply chain. In this way, EcoVadis supports evaluating business partners, managing their performance and continuously driving improvements. This enables the Follmann Group to make more sustainable procurement decisions in accordance with their ecological, social and ethical standards.
