TO CONCEIVE AND SHOW NEW RESEARCH WAYS IN THE DERMOCOSMETOLOGY FIELD

Every 2 years since 2008, the Greentech Foundation has organised the Skin Physiology International Meeting (SPIM), a unique international scientific congress at the crossroads of research excellence and conviviality. Highlighting the latest research work and discoveries on skin physiology, the event aims to share results, analyses, hypotheses and investigation methods from a variety of disciplines without dogmatic positions.

It brings together experts from all specialisations, from all countries, and encourages cross-collaboration to advance scientists’ understanding of cutaneous physiology. Each SPIM is organised in collaboration with our scientific committee, made up of renowned scientists.

This 2024 edition will focus on 4 core themes: skin homeostasis, skin barrier, emerging concepts in skin physiology and skin aging. Once again this year, the Greentech Awards will will grant an award to 2 participants: 15,000€ for the best junior scientist and 4,000€ for the best poster. The aim of the Greentech awards is to promote knowledge in skin physiology and to encourage younger generation of scientists to search further.

PARTNERSHIP SPIM & INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COSMETIC SCIENCE

The International Journal of Cosmetic Science was established in 1979 and has continuously improved to reach its current high academic standing. In 2023, with an impact factor of 2.7, the journal is ranked at number 33 out of the 94 journals that are grouped as “Dermatology” publications and is also the leading «peer review» journal in cosmetics ranking 2nd out of 6 cosmetics journals. Close to 12,000 institutions offer access to IJCS via a Wiley license and more than 500 000 full-texts were downloaded last year. The stated aims of the International Journal of Cosmetic Science are ‘to present current scientific research, both pure and applied in cosmetics, toiletries, perfumery and allied fields. The instruction to authors also states that ‘articles should have a clear connection to and usefulness for cosmetics applications.

Science progresses by trial and error, by contradictory debates, and consensus has no place. If a scientific thesis does not permit debate, it is because it is pseudo’ science which is under the control of an ideology. The SPIM Conference and the IJCS give you the opportunity to express yourself and share your ideas, knowledge, and research by different but complementary means and both at a high scientific level.

This strong alliance is of mutual benefit, synergistic and aid in the promotion of scientific excellence in the important field of skin physiology and Skincare. With this in mind, we are delighted to give the chance to one presenter to publish in Open Access his work on an upcoming edition of the IJCS. They will be selected
