Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, today announced a distribution agreement for the U.S., Canada and Mexico with PureTech Scientific LLC, a global leader in organic synthesis of ultra-high purity glycolic acid for the life sciences and specialty chemical industries and the sole manufacturer in the Americas.

This distribution agreement will offer innovative formulation solutions featuring Glypure® cosmetic-grade glycolic acid to Brenntag customers across North American personal care markets. Through their state-of-the-art manufacturing process, PureTech Scientific provides top-tier glycolic acid solutions that can be incorporated into a wide array of personal care products, including dermatological peels, toners and hair styling solutions, while delivering the highest levels of purity, consistency and quality available in the market. 

Additionally, PureTech’s proprietary process has a 100% atom economy and uses no hazardous solvents in the production of their readily biodegradable glycolic acid, further underscoring their commitment to creating the lowest environmental impact glycolic acid on the market.
