The first edition of HPCI South Africa was held in conjunction with the annual Coschem conference from September 4-5, 2019 in Johannesburg, Gallagher Exhibition Centre. The first event on the African Country exclusively devoted to ingredients for home and personal care products started with about 25 international exhibitors representing 87 international companies. HPCI South Africa was attended by more than 500 home care and personal care experts. Visitors and exhibitors were equally satisfied with this premiere.

Educational programme
In addition to the show, the annual conference of Coschem offered an extensive programme of lectures focusing on the dissemination of scientific information. Local and international presenters were invited to present papers outlining new research and developments and new materials that can be brought to market.

Safety Assessor seminar
Beside the scientific conference highlights, the half-day DGK/IKW Safety Assessor Seminar organized with the support of the CTFA (Cosmetic, Toiletries & Fragrance Association) South Africa took place on the second day of HPCI SA 2019. This seminar focused on relevant issues in the safety of cosmetic production.

The next HPCI SA will take place again in conjunction with the Coschem annual conference in September 2020, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
