The Central and Eastern European home and personal community gathered at the EXPO XII Centre, Warsaw from 25-26 September 2019 for the largest HPCI CEE to date. The 9th edition of HPCI CEE was again held in conjunction with CosmeticBusiness Poland. The number one event for the home, cosmetic and personal care industry in Central and Eastern Europe recorded a further increase in the numbers of exhibitors and represented companies (315 compared to 293 in 2018) showcasing their latest innovations on a larger exhibition area (plus 15% compared to 2018). The exhibitors where satisfied with their participation in HPCI CEE 2019, that 84% of the exhibition area where directly re-booked for 2020.

The HPCI CEE 2019 / CosmeticBusiness Poland was the meeting place for the home and personal care industry, emphasising its position as the number one trade fair in Central and Eastern Europe and a mirror for the latest market developments. International exhibitors presented raw materials for formulating home and personal care products, laboratory and manufacturing technology, testing and measuring devices as well as latest packaging solutions.

Growing number of international visitors
The number of visitors from abroad was significantly higher than at previous events”, said Dr Sonja Schulte, Editor-in-Chief Coatings & Cosmetics at Vincentz Network. After Poland (75%), Germany had the highest number in attendance followed by Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia and Italy. Over 1,500 experts (+2,5% compared to 2018), out of 29 countries, from the home and personal care industry came to Warsaw.

Educational programme
In addition to the show, HPCI CEE 2019 also offered an extensive programme of lectures with different focuses. The technical seminars provided an overview of the latest developments in raw materials for the formulation of cosmetics, home and personal care products. The program was rounded off by a scientific conference in which renowned speakers from industry and academia gave insights into their latest findings.

Safety Assessor seminar
The one-day DGK/IKW Safety Assessor Seminar took place on the first day of the HCPI CEE 2019 and gave safety assessors again the opportunity to update themselves and to exchange ideas with colleagues. The sixth edition of this seminar, which was held for the first time in 2014, was a huge success. Therefore, it is planned to offer this seminar again in 2020.

The next HPCI CEE (Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference) will take place in conjunction with CosmeticBusiness Poland from 07 to 08 October 2020 at the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw, Poland.
