Vytrus Biotech, the company specialized in active ingredients derived from plant biotechnology for the cosmetic industry, is excited to announce its latest results of the new rinse-off test for Elaya Renova™, a revolutionary solution for the hair skinification.
Due to a shifting tendency in the market and economic concerns derived from the current inflation rates, consumers are looking for new multifunctional solutions that optimize their beauty routines.
Elaya Renova™ is an active ingredient that tackles both hair and scalp under the architectural concept of Hair Tensegrity through a unique mechanism of action empowered by plant biotechnology. In this new rinse-off test, the following results were observed after only one application of Elaya Renova™:
- Increased Hair Strength: the active enhanced hair strength by 15% compared to the untreated control, showing significant resilience against breakage under stress. Strength parameter was measured by applying the tensile strength, a controlled force to each hair fiber, and the maximum force required to break the fibers was recorded
- Hydration Boost: the hair hydration was significantly improved, with a 48% increase in moisture retention. This was measured using a Corneometer, showing the active’s efficacy in locking moisture in the hair fiber.
- Reduction of Split Ends: the active ingredient significantly reduced the occurrence of split ends up to 75%. Split ends were counted before and after treatment with a microcamera, highlighting its potential to repair and protect hair.
These benefits positions Elaya Renova ™ as a competitive active ingredient for consumers looking to improve hair structure and hydration, and reduce split ends after a rinse-off treatment.
Elaya Renova™ becomes a versatile active ingredient that addresses the hair skinification trend through a biological approach. A biotechnology active that takes care of both hair and scalp in one single ally for cosmetic formulations that has been extensively tested ex vivo, in vitro and in vivo in both hair and scalp for a 360º hair care strategy.
In addition to its rinse-off efficacy, Elaya Renova™ represents a 100% natural, IECIC listed and Halal compliant active that demonstrated leave-on science-backed efficacy on hair and scalp in terms of hydration, protection, strengthening, conditioning, regeneration and penetration.
This innovation already garnered the industry’s recognition, earning Elaya Renova™ the Innovation zone Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Asia and Latin America 2022. Vytrus will showcase its latest developments and efficacy results of Elaya Renova™ at in-cosmetics Asia on November 5-7 in Bangkok, Thailand, where the latest company launch (Baolift™) is finalist amongst the few nominees of the Innovation Awards 2024.
