The BSB Innovation Awards are aimed to promote the global dissemination of up-to-date knowledge, and selections of awardees are done in a most objective, fair, and independent process.

HyaluGuard (INCI: Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract) is a cosmetic ingredient for anti-skin-sagging products of completely natural origin that focuses on hyaluronic acid (HA) existing in the dermis. HA in the epidermis was known to be degraded by HYAL1/2. However, HA in the dermis, that contributes to stable skin structure, was recently revealed to be degraded by HYBID. HyaluGuard prevents the expression of HYBID via up-regulation of micro-RNA. As a result, HyaluGuard prevents skin sagging by acting as a guardian of hyaluronic acid.

With this award, we aim to further expand our global presence by positioning HyaluGuard as a next-generation, naturally derived solution for skin sagging. This will help promote the transition from conventional approaches to a new, science-based concept of dermal care.
