The preparation of a storage-stable abrasive cleaning composition without dolomite as a starting material, in which no or only a very small amount of alkylbenzene acid magnesium salt (Mg-LAS) is present, is achieved by using alkoxylated fatty alcohols. Such a cleaning composition contains 1 to 15 wt.% alkylbenzene acid calcium salt (Ca-LAS) at a proportion of Mg-LAS ≤ 1% of the amount of calcium salt as well as 0.5 to 10 wt.% alkoxylated fatty alcohol.
