Already in the subtitle of the very first issue of the „Seifensieder-Zeitung“ (in English: soap boiler newspaper) in 1874, the connection between the newspaper and the trade associations or guilds was emphasized: This is why over the years, the „Seifensieder-Zeitung“ regularly reported on the meetings and discussions of the trade associations. At the 1st International Conference of Soapmakers in Ludwigshafen am Rhein on October 24, 1954, the Association of Soap, Perfume, and Detergent Professionals was founded – SEPAWA® e.V.
