The companies represented within the German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW, Industrieverband Körperpflege- und Waschmittel) provide their expertise on the products they manufacture available to the public in the form of recommendations for quality assessment.
These recommendations are developed by working groups to enable qualified testing of relevant products by manufacturers and test institutes. They describe quality characteristics that the products must fulfil to meet consumer and manufacturer expectations.
