As major acne and skin impurity management strategy involves the regulation of sebum production to prevent pore blockage, Cutibacterium acnes growth and subsequent inflammation. This study evaluates TRIcare™ CG, a Multifunctional ingredient, using in vitro and in vivo experiments, as a formulator’s solution for regulating sebum production and impurities in a microbiome-friendly way. In vitro studies demonstrate the decrease of 5α-Reductase activity, crucial in sebum production control. In vivo clinical studies show significant reductions in sebum levels, redness, and pore size over 14 days, confirming the ingredient’s suitability to manage acne and other impurities. Additionally, microbiome friendliness studies and preservative challenge tests further exemplify its benefits for the skin flora as well as the product protection system. TRIcare™ CG proves to be a modern Multifunctional solution for formulators, addressing the triggers of acne and impurities by regulating sebum production and reducing redness redness and pore size in harmony with the skin microbiome.
