In light of the acquisition of SGS proderm GmbH by the SGS Group, we have restructured our leadership team. Marianne Brandt, the former COO, and Dr. Gunja Springmann, the former Head of Scientific Consulting, will work alongside managing director Dr. Sheida Hönlinger to coordinate the strategic development of SGS proderm GmbH.

We are particularly pleased that the leadership responsibilities have been entrusted to two longstanding members of our team: Marianne Brandt and Dr. Gunja Springmann have significantly contributed to shaping our journey to becoming a globally renowned institute for dermatological contract research over the past twenty years. They will now be able to leverage their experience and expertise even more in leading our teams.

Our direction remains unchanged: SGS proderm will continue to stand for innovative technologies and scientific methods in dermatological contract research, striving to be perceived as a market leader. This commitment is reinforced by our designation within the SGS Group as the 'European Center for Dermatological Excellence.'

Within the global SGS network, synergies arise for our 'Consumer Care' and 'Medical' units, which you as our customer will benefit from. These synergies are already evident in recruitment, study execution, and analysis. Overall, as a clinical studies entity, we are better positioned to tailor our services to your needs.

Dr. Sheida Hönlinger
Managing Director

Sheida is Director of Health Science, Cosmetics & Hygiene at SGS in Germany, Managing Director of SGS Austria, and Managing Director of SGS proderm. She has been with SGS since 2006 and has taken on various leadership roles during this time. Prior to this, she worked as an expert for cosmetic products at the Council of Europe, as an assessor, and as an auditor. Sheida holds a PhD in Biology.

Dr. Gunja Springmann
Division Manager Medical

Gunja is responsible for the strategic development of the medical unit while at the same time she maintains and expands relationships with clients from the medical device and medicinal products industry. With her 20+ years of clinical study experience Gunja is an expert for a diverse range of trial aspects and different regulatory environments according to which trials may be conducted. Gunja previously held senior positions in Consulting, Business Development and Project Management.

Marianne Brandt
Division Manager Cosmetics

As Division Manager Cosmetics, Marianne not only heads our 'Consumer Care' unit, but she oversees the operational scope of three distinct locations in Germany, encompassing around 130 employees in total. She joined our team in 2002 and supports with her expertise in methodology, regulatory aspects and client relationships. Throughout the years, Marianne shifted her focus solely to leadership roles and has been part of the strategic development of SGS proderm since three years.
