The active has been recognized for its innovation in the Best Ingredient Awards at the 2023 Latin American edition, the leading trade fair for personal care ingredients in Latin America. The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 27 at the fair held in São Paulo, Brazil, where the award was presented to the Vytrus Biotech technical team.
Following its recognition at in-cosmetics Korea 2023 Best Ingredient Awards, the BSB Innovation Awards 2023, I Feel Good Awards Best Formulation 2023 and having been placed amongst the top 10 finalists worldwide at the in-cosmetics Global Innovation Awards past March 2023, this award for Photobiome™ reinforces again its and efficacy, innovation and scientific level among the latest innovations launched on the cosmetic market worldwide.
The new active Photobiome™ opens the door to a new category of Microbial Antioxidants by helping our skin microbiota photoprotect itself by protecting and nourishing bacteria, modulating the release of its own natural photo-defense molecules that improves the signs of the photoageing process on the skin.

Photobiome is a 100% natural active ingredient from stem cells of pomegranate (Punica granatum) and cotton from desertic and semi-arid regions of the Near and the Middle East (Gossypium herbaceum). Through a new technological platform of Phyto-Cell Fusions, Vytrus combines two plants with high antioxidant power and resistant to extreme temperatures.
