Lipoid Kosmetik is successful once more at the 21th annual BSB Innovation Awards in 2023. The BSB Innovation Awards honor innovations in the fields of cosmetics and natural products and are given to raw materials, finished products, and applied concepts. Over time, this award has become a guideline for innovation within the cosmetic and personal industry with an increasing number of applications from internationally recognized brands each year. The shortlists were packed with thrilling products and renowned companies, demonstrating the importance of the BSB Innovation Awards. 

Hence, we are more than proud that in the category Cosmetics/Raw Material/Actives our new ingredient Amaretine® was awarded the 1st prize. The international jury stated: “the activation of a specific bitter receptor to stimulate barrier lipid formation together with the reduction of inflammatory markers to modulate atopic skin conditions, is an innovative way to provide essential skin benefits; it might open new solutions for sensitive skin based on activating other bitter receptors; effects are very well documented.” 

In the category of Natural Products/Raw Material/Actives our activity-proven and traceable extract Mountain Tea Pro won the 1st prize as well. The jury stated: “based on an exciting new plant species, ex vivo antioxidant potential demonstrated by ESR; interesting caffeine-free tea story to calm down in the evening, and therefore a good active ingredient for night care products; European origin and community support.” 

Winning these two 1st prizes at the BSB Innovation Awards 2023 demonstrates our continuous effort to develop innovative, natural and sustainable ingredients that are substantiated by strong scientific data, have appealing concepts and fit current cosmetic trends.
