Title: AKYPO® IN-0202 -New Anionic Additive for Enhancing Metal Cleaning Formulations-

Abstract: AKYPO® IN-0202 -new anionic additive for enhancing metal cleaning formulations- Kao Chemicals is one of the biggest suppliers for alkyl ethercarboxylic acids (AKYPO®) worldwide. The usage of these derivatives spans from home care and technical applications to the cleaning industry. In the following presentation a new ethercarboxylic acid will be highlighted. This type of anionic surfactant shows versatile physico-chemical properties especially for cleaning applications. AKYPO® IN-0202 is a multifunctional molecule. It shows good solubilizing properties, so the formulator could work with a clear formulation at higher temperatures. Additionally, it enhances the physico-chemical properties of the formulation, like decreasing the dynamic surface tension, fast wetting and spreading as well as enhanced electrolyte stability and lime soap dispersing power. Further it shows anti-corrosion behavior on aluminum and ferrous metals. In addition to these characteristics AKYPO® IN-0202 is a perfect additive for the removal of particle containing soils, due to the synergistic effect with typical non-ionics surfactants.
