Abstract
The detergent, maintenance and cleaning product industry has been committed for decades to the three pillars of sustainability, social affairs, ecology and economy. This has been documented in Germany by the publication of IKW Reports on Sustainability in the Detergent, Maintenance and Cleaning Product Industry in Germany since 2005. This form of reporting had its origins in a study by Oldenburg University back in 2002 where, inter alia, indicators and optimization potential for the industry were identified.
