Eight Trends in the Wellbeing & Wellness Market.

The first quarter of 2024 is almost over, and it’s a good time to take another look to the future of things that do us good: the wellness and wellbeing market. The industry has surprised us with quite a few trends, and some are more well-deception than wellness. Why does the market continue to grow every year?

We work and work, and the pendulum of life balance usually swings more to one side. Occasionally, we treat ourselves to a short break and rush to a “wellness weekend” in an overcrowded hotel. This is so-called wellness and has nothing to do with wellness as a holistic lifestyle that should nourish both body and soul.

At the same time, we experience global and political unrest, witness climate change at our doorstep, and practically wait continually for what could affect our lives from the outside next, i.e., permanent unrest and uncertainty. Applied and ‘honest’ wellness can provide a counterbalance here and a sense of calm and positive well-being.

What awaits us after trends like sleep hacks, individualization, or wellness trips? Here are my current eight trends for 2024 and some with a revival. Plus, some thoughts on 2028+.
