Abstract
This year, the Deutsche Gesellschaft der Parfümeure (DGP; German Society of Perfumers) brought its members together in Leipzig, the cradle of perfumery in Germany. At the meeting held 11th and 12th April, the 75 participants were given a wealth of information and impressions in six specialist lectures and a visit to the Bell company. Our sincere thanks go to Mr Wolfgang Blume and his team at Bell, who gave the visitors the opportunity to experience the rich history of fragrance chemistry in Central Germany by opening up the Schimmel Library on their premises.
