Brenntag [ISIN DE000A1DAHH0], the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, announced the opening of operations of its new Innovation & Application Center in Leeds, UK, located in the Alexandra House of Lawnswood Business Park in North Leeds. The business park already hosts the headquarters of Brenntag in the UK as well.

The facility will focus on research and development for Personal Care applications. Dedicated Brenntag experts will provide customers and suppliers with concepts and prototype development, customized formulation support, technical solutions and stability studies for a broad range of applications.

One year ago, Brenntag Specialties acquired Prime Surfactants Limited, a leading distributor of surfactants specialties for the Personal Care / HI&I industries, now also based in the Lawnswood Business Park in Leeds. Brenntag therefore chose Leeds for the new Innovation & Application Center due to its proximity to the existing businesses and many suppliers as well as customers in the Personal Care industries in the region.

The Innovation & Application Center in Leeds is the latest member of Brenntag Specialties’ global network of 85 industry-focused centers that share best practices, knowledge, and insights and deliver value added services to our business partners. “The opening of the Leeds Center is a further step to execute Brenntag’s ‘Strategy to Win’ by building capabilities and offering innovative services to the regional and global Personal Care industries.
