Abstract
In a world where stress is increasing and emotional wellbeing is a growing concern, self-care strategies like beauty routines are becoming important for mental health. This study investigated the effects of timut pepper extract, a potential active ingredient for neurocosmetics, on skin health and emotional wellbeing. Findings revealed that timut pepper supports skin innervation by protecting sensory neurons and promoting keratinocyte proliferation, thereby potentially improving skin complexion. Clinical studies showed improved skin tone evenness as well as luminosity and elevated feelings of safety, relaxation, balance, and calmness among volunteers. Thus, timut pepper extract can enhance emotional wellbeing by reducing stress and improving mood through skin improvement. Overall, timut pepper extract offers a promising development in neurocosmetics by protecting skin neurons and promoting radiant skin.
