The Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators, endowed with 20,000 EUR, is granted annually to an early career scientist in Europe for outstanding contributions to biomedical research. It has been awarded, in partnership with Nature, since 1995.

BASF invests in the production of emollient specialties at its Düsseldorf site targeted for skin and sun protection products. A new reactor and upgrade of the distillation units enable an expansion of production capacity to meet the increasing demand for these specialty products. The new facilities are scheduled to go into operation in the third quarter of 2025.

Symrise AG has increased its holdings in the US company Kobo Products Inc. The transaction increases the Symrise stake in the pigment and powder specialist to 49%. The transaction creates further opportunities for both companies in the fields of mineral UV filters and decorative cosmetics.
